Dopak has introduced its own ESS (Energy Saving Systems) system to its offer reduces the electricity consumption of hydraulic injection molding machines. This is the only solution on the market that does not require any interference in the structure of the machine, fits all types of hydraulic injection molding machines operating in industrial plants. Thanks to the use of the system you can reduce electricity consumption by up to 30%. The product premiere will take place during the 28th International Fair of Plastics and Rubber Processing PLASTPOL on May 21-24, 2024. in Kielce.
The ESS system equipped with a microprocessor controller with a frequency converter analyzes signals from external sensors installed on the machine and regulates energy depending on the demand at a given moment of the cycle. The program algorithm allows you to choose one of two optimization modes for the operation of the injection molding machine: constant energy reduction or dynamic – adapted to the current demand at a given moment of the cycle. The solution is individually tailored to specific injection molding machines, cycle time and production method.
Reducing the costs of electricity for production machines is currently one of the biggest challenges in the plastics processing industry. Our solution effectively reduces the electricity consumption of machines. In the case of injection molding plants equipped with hydraulic machines, the benefits can be significant. For example, the annual electricity savings with one injection molding machine with a clamping force of 2,000 tons may amount to up to PLN seventy thousand at current energy prices, and this amount will increase significantly after the prices are released from July 1, 2024. – said Ursula Steiner, president of the management board of Dopak.
Depending on the design of the injection molding machine, Dopak offers two solutions: ESS ONE or ESS X2. The first one is intended for injection molding machines with one engine in the hydraulic system drive system, while the second one is used for machines with two engines. The systems are manufactured in accordance with standards and regulations, undergo SAT tests and FAT procedures after installation at the user’s site. The quality is confirmed by appropriate protocols and declarations of compliance with EU directives: electromagnetic and low-voltage compatibility.
